Adela John

Adela John, age 85, passed away at home on Thursday, December 19, 2024.

Adela was born on April 15, 1939 to the late Nicolasa and Jose C. Naranjo on Santa Clara Pueblo in New Mexico. Adela was united in marriage to Thomas "Tom" John on June 29, 1963. They celebrated over 60 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on July 15, 2024.

She enjoyed traveling and sports of all kinds including those teams located in both St. Louis and Denver.

She loved her grandchildren and spending time with family and friends and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Larry) Bell; sons: Kenneth (Ellen) John, Robert John; siblings: Dorothy Martinez and Howard Naranjo Sr.; and granddaughters: Sierra and Kyra John.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas "Tom" John; her parents: Nicolasa and Jose C Naranjo; sisters: Charlotte Suina and Roberta Naranjo.

Funeral services for Adela will be held at Oneida Assembly of God Church, Oneida, WI on Saturday January 18th, 2025 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Joel Cornelius officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 12 noon until the time of services. Adela will be laid to rest at the Oneida Assembly of God cemetery at a later date.
