Adeline "Pudge" Lerum, 93, of Seymour, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
She was born May 26, 1927, daughter of the late Alben and Irene (Schwandt) Thorson. Pudge graduated from Bonduel High School where she excelled in typing and shorthand. These skills proved useful for the many years she worked as a secretary.
On July 19, 1947, she was united in marriage to Byron Krohlow for 11 years. He preceded her in death December 16, 1958, leaving Robin 8, Susan 7 and Steven 1. On November 23, 1967, she married Oliver Lerum who had four children: Judy, Randy, Jeff and Amy. The family lived in the Town of Osborn until 1996 when they built a house in Seymour.
Pudge was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, Concordia member and served on various committees. In addition to church Pudge loved her family, gardening, bowling, (becoming a Grand Duchess at age 70), reading, traveling and sports. She served on the election board for the Town of Osborn for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Oliver Lerum; children: Robin (Jack Bothwell) Krohlow, Baileys Harbor, Susan (Gary) Stephani and their children, Michael and David, Los Angeles, Steven (special friend, Donna) Krohlow, Seymour. Her extended family: Judy (Stephen) Zillmer, Watertown, Randy (Kelly) Lerum, Seymour, Amy (Mike) Albrightson, Woodville; additional grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pudge was preceded in death by her step-son, Jeff Lerum.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2021. Visitation will continue at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating. Burial will take place at Cicero Immanuel Cemetery.
