Adeline Van Doorn of Peshtigo passed away in a Milwaukee hospital on Tuesday, August 21, 2007. She was born on September 1, 1925 to the late Ernest and Ida (Manecke) Kleinschmidt in Crandon. She married the late George "Shorty" Van Doorn on November 17, 1945. He preceded her in death in 1989. They resided in the Seymour area for 36 years then moved to the Crivitz and Peshtigo areas.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Patricia (Joseph) Jahnke, Necedah, and Gloria (Leo) Putzkie, Peshtigo. She is further survived by six grandchildren: Brian Putzkie, Peshtigo; Amy Putzkie, Winter Park, FL.; Darlene (Marty) Moyle, Milwaukee; Christine Janke, Milwaukee; Dawn (Vernon) Teige, West Allis and Kelly Murray, Milwaukee; three great-grandchildren, Mark, Andrew and Jennifer Moyle, all of Milwaukee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Velva "Toots" and Peter Van Doorn, Viola and Bryan Kemp; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Reuben and Josie Kleinschmidt, Ervin and Marion Kleinschmidt.

Friends may call at the Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, 358 S. Main St., Seymour from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, August 24, 2007 and Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church, 915 Ivory Street, Seymour, from 9:00 A.M. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M., with Father Robert Kabat officiating. The burial will be in the parish cemetery.
