Alfred Lucas, age 93, of Seymour, Wisconsin and formally from Winnetka, Illinois passed away on June 16, 2008. He was born on October 26, 1914 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Alfred married Julia Hoekstra on April 30, 1935. He attended Northwestern University for accounting and worked for local businesses. Later, he went into real estate and was a member of the Evanston North Shore Board of Realtors, receiving many awards as a broker. He was also a lifetime member of Wisconsin Real Estate Exchangers. His passion for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was never ending.
Survivors include his wife, Julia of 73 years, two children: Alfred (Janet) Lucas, Hobe Sound, FL; and Barbara (William) Wangerin, DePere, WI; six grandchildren: Laurie La Mue, DePere, WI; William (Laura) Wangerin, Jr., Chicago, IL; David (Jodi) Wangerin, Greenleaf, WI; Heather (William) Donlan, Sanford, FL; Julie (Scott) Berken, Appleton, WI; and Meredith (James) Dickey, Center Valley, PA; five great-grandchildren, Kara, Lucas, Molly, Kaitlin and Jakob, and a sister Andrea Mickus.
Friends may call at St. John the Baptist, Seymour on Friday, June 20, 2008 from 2 PM until the funeral mass at 3 PM with Father Robert Kabat officiating. Entombment will be in Des Plaines, IL. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund may be given in honor of Alfred Lucas to Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
