Alfred D. Pullin, age 77, of Seymour passed away on January 4, 2010 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour. Al was born December 9, 1932 to the late Donald and Blanche (Wilson) Pullin in Iowa.

Al was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Seymour American Legion and an active member of the Seymour Lions where he was president twice and also received the Melvin Jones Award. He farmed in Iowa and Wisconsin in both dairy and sheep. Al was active in 4-H and involved with the Outagamie County Fair and the Iowa Fairs. He owned Professional Mowing in Seymour. Al loved playing cribbage.

Al is survived by his children: Marie Purdy, Algoma, Larry Pullin, Dunkerton, IA, Gail (Brian) Bellis, Waterloo, IA, Barb (Gary) Pullin, Denver, CO, Kathy Pullin, Waterloo, IA, Jodi (Chris) Miles; Jacksonville, FL and Marty (Nicole) Pullin, Brooklyn, WI; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; beloved partner Ann Nabbefeldt, Seymour and her family: Kathy (Bruce) Nabbefeldt, Ronald Nabbefeldt, Mary (Mike) Sigl, Donna (Tim) VandenEng, Sharon Peterson, Karen (Mike ) Laskowski, Robert (Steve) Nabbefeldt; and Ann's 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; a brother Ronald (Mary Esther) Pullin, Waterloo; 2 sisters: Donna Osgood, Arcadia, CA, and Sue Nicol, Waterloo, IA;

He was preceded in death by his grandson Timothy, daughter-in-law Patti and Ann's son Joe Nabbefeldt, brother-in-laws Roger Osgood and Bud Nicol.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 from 4:30 PM until services at 7:30 PM. On Saturday, January 9, 2010, friends may call at South Waterloo Church of the Brethern, 6227 Kimball Avenue, Waterloo, Iowa, from 11 AM until services at 1 PM with Reverend David Whitten officiating. Burial will take place in Orange Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established to Seymour Lions. A special thank you to Good Shepherd Nursing Home and Heartland Hospice for all your care.
