Alice Blumreich, age 97, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Seymour.
Alice was born on March 26, 1925 in Grand Chute, Wisconsin to the late Albert and Grace (Andrews) Vandenhoy-Beyer. Alice was united in marriage to the late Charles (Charlie) Blumreich on May 25, 1946.
She was a telephone operator for General Telephone prior to dial, and worked for Wurtzel Drug Store as well as Kailhofer's Greenhouse in Seymour. Alice was a proud member of the United Methodist Church Choir. She enjoyed gardening and trips to the cabin. Alice was proud to be a 9-gallon blood donor.
She is survived by children: Chuck (Karla) Blumreich, Jim (Alyce) Blumreich and Jean Sage; nine grandchildren: Charles W. III (Shelley) Blumreich, Linda (Dan) Debruin; Scott (Rebecca) Blumreich, Andy (Mandy) Blumreich, Kristin (Carlos) Bastidas; Bill Sage, Paul Sage, Dan Sage, Mike(Katy) Sage; her great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Blumreich; siblings: Bill (Charles Wm) McConnell, Mary Jane Vandenhoy and Dick Vandenhoy.
Visitation will take place at the United Methodist Church, Seymour on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 from 10am until the funeral service at 11am with Pastor Diana Ziegler officiating. Burial will take place at the Seymour City Cemetery.
