Alice Brugger

Alice Brugger, 93, of Rural Shiocton, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Seymour. She was born September 17, 1922, daughter of the late George "Buell" and Hazel (McCoy) Stedjee. On June 8, 1946, she was united in marriage to Darryll Brugger. He preceded her in death May 31, 2000.
Alice attended Trinity United Church of Christ in Leeman.
She enjoyed gardening, reading, embroidering, quilting, crossword puzzles, baking, bird watching, visits from family and friends, berry picking, fishing and time spent in the woods.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Lee) Piechocki, Algoma; son, Russell (Diane) Brugger, Seymour; son-in-law, Darwin Ethington, rural Shiocton; grandchildren: Karen (Dan) Sonnen, Marion, IA; Dawn (Chris) Rossmiller, De Pere; Michael (Sue) Brugger, Rib Lake; Matthew (Mya) Brugger, Seymour; Alison Brugger, Seymour; eight great-grandchildren: Grace, Bryanne, Mark, Emma, Joshua, Adeline, Harrison and Mara.
Alice is preceded in death by an infant son; one daughter, Cheryl Ethington; infant brother; brother, Gordon (Bernice) Stedjee; and sister, Helen (Hubert) Maas.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday, July 18, 2016 at Trinity United Church of Christ, Leeman from 9:30 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. with Pastor Moira Finley officiating.
