Alice Koeppel

April 20, 1924 — September 9, 2013

Alice Mae Koeppel, 89, of Seymour passed away on September 9, 2013 at the Unity Hospice Care Center. She was born April 20, 1924 in Green Bay daughter of the late Albert and Louisa (Zeismer) Zegers. On July 31, 1947 she was united in marriage to Austin Koeppel. He preceded her in death October 7, 1994.
Alice was an active member at St. John's Catholic Church in Seymour where she was a member of the Christian Mothers of the church. She enjoyed her gardens and made 37 baby quilts with her daughters for disadvantaged mothers.
She is survived by her children: Kathy (Dennis) Wieck, Minocqua; Darlene Koeppel, Philadelphia; John (Norene) Koeppel, Harrisburg, PA; Albert (Mary) Koeppel, Wittenberg; Gregory (Sue) Koeppel, Green Bay; Tony (Brenda) Koeppel, Hartford; Peter (Holly) Koeppel, Florida; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Ed Gill.
She is preceded in death by one sister, Mary and one brother, Lee.
Friends may call at St. John's Catholic Church, Seymour on Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 1:30 p.m. until Mass of Christian burial at 3:00 pm with Fr. Bob Kabat officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
