Allan Loney

September 28, 1945 — May 18, 2015

Allan L. Loney, 69, of Navarino, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015. He was born September 28, 1945, son of the late Melvin and Elleanore (Measner) Loney. On August 6, 2004 he was united in marriage to Mary Schommer.

Allan was an Army Vietnam Veteran and farmed in Polk County until his retirement. Allan was a member of the 2nd Wisconsin Company E, The Iron Brigade Civil War Enactment, and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Howard.
He enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling with his wife but his real passion was farming. He was a good story teller and enjoyed belonging to his Veteran Group.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; son, Drew; brother, Myron (Karen) Loney; sister, Barb (Paul) Anderson, sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Kurt) Andrews.
Allan is preceded in death by his sister, Diane Van Cleave.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Thursday, May 21, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. and visitation will continue on Friday, May 22, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Howard from 10 a.m. until the funeral mass at 11 a.m. with Fr. John Bergstadt officiating. Burial will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery, Town of Farmington. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
