Alvin Socha

Alvin P. Socha, 71, of Seymour, passed away Tuesday morning, November 3, 2015 with his family by his side. He was born September 10, 1944, son of the late Peter and Dorothy (Botzet) Socha.
On August 20, 1966, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Matuszak.
Alvin was a member of St. Sebastian's Catholic Church, Isaar. He was active in the choir and a member of the Seymour American Legion Post 106. He was a truck driver for many years, first with Schneider Transport and then CCX out of Neenah.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children: Carolyn (Rich) Harper, Jerry Socha, Karen (Don) Custer, Laurie (Duane) Snyder, Marie (Troy) Ward, Al (Tori) Socha, Sarah (Ryan) Radecki, Mike (Kelly) Socha, Charlene (Craig) VandeCorput, Tish (Michael) Kozlowski; 20 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren; brothers: Peter and David Socha; sisters: Jo Ann Behling, Rose Mary Kempen, and Debra (Dave) Tennie; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: La Verne Kons, Phyllis Matuszak, Eleanor Zakowski, Dorothy Kons, Alice Vanden Langenberg, Norbert Matuszak, Ralph (Anna Mae) Matuszak, Barbara Socha, Jo Anne (Bill) Vanden Langenberg, Ronald Matuszak, Deacon Richard (Margie) Matuszak.
Preceded in death by his son Jim Socha; brothers and sisters: Edward (Shirley) Socha, Joseph and Dennis Socha, Alice (Len) Colling; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Cyril Behling, Norman Kons, Harvey Matuszak, Bernard Kons, Marlene Matuszak, Roger Zakowski, and LeRoy (Diane) Matuszak.
Friends may call at St Sebastian's Catholic Church, Isaar on Friday, November 6, 2015 from 3 - 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral mass at 11 a.m. with Father Brian Belongia and Deacon Rich Matuszak officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Military Rites will follow in the cemetery.
