Angeline Brocker

August 16, 1917 — February 26, 2010

Angeline Brocker, age 92, of Oneida passed away Friday, February 26, 2010 at home surrounded by her family.

She was born August 16, 1917 in Oneida to the late William and Mary (Webster) Metoxen. On September 15, 1942 she married Melvin Brocker and he preceded her in death on March 9, 1993.

Angeline was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Oneida where she was a member of the Ladies Guild and an active volunteer. She also spent hundreds of hours volunteering at the Bethesda Thrift Store and was active with the Bodacious Babes Red Hatters.

Angeline also participated in the Oneida Relay For Life for many years. She was an avid bird lover and kept several pet birds over the years.

She is survived by her children: Jo Bailey, CA, Jacob (Kathy) Satterlee, Green Bay, Arlene (Butch) Davis, TX, Margaret (Larry) Schroeder, Oneida, Carl (Debbie) Brocker, Oneida, Melvin C. Brocker, IL, John (Jill) Brocker, Seymour; 2 sons-in-law: Carl Prilepp, Seymour, and William Van Boxtel, Oneida. Further survived by 33 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, and 16 great great grandchildren; 3 sisters: Lydia Skenandore, Sadie Cornelius, and Grace Griffey, all of Oneida; sister-in-law Verna Bunkleman, Shawano; brother-in-law Donald (Margaret) Brocker, IL; numerous nieces and nephews.

Angeline was preceded in death by 4 daughters: 2 Infants, Barbara Van Boxtel, and Donna Prilepp; son-in-law Fred Bailey; daughter-in-law Barbara Brocker; 2 grandchildren: Rodney Davis and Rick Hacker; great grandchild Christian Bailey; 4 brothers: Freeman, Elmer, Lloyd, and William Jr.; 3 sisters: Katherine, Nellie, and Clara; 4 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Monday, March 2, 2010 from 4 PM to 8 PM with the Oneida Singers at 6:30. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Zion Lutheran Church, Oneida, from 9:30 AM until services at 11 AM with Pastor Vernon Heim officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Oneida.
