Ann Burrowes

March 10, 1921 — March 4, 2013

Ann Burrowes 91, of Seymour passed away Monday Morning, March 4, 2013 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home. She was born March 10, 1921 daughter of the late John and Fedora (Ilkowitz) Wurbia. On January 9, 1954 she was united in marriage to Henry Burrowes. He preceded her in death on April 19, 2004.

Ann was a member of Seymour United Methodist Church. She volunteered at good Shepherd Nursing Home for many years. She was a great cook.

Survivors include her daughter Fran Gillette, Seymour; grandchildren: Dale (Ashley) Maass, Shawn Maass, Pamela (Ryan) Mc Neal, Matt (Jessica) Maass, Nefretiri Gillette; four great grandchildren: Laylah, Allison, Xavier Maass, Saryntary Gillette; with two more great grandchildren on the way; also surviving are brothers-in-law Len Sieracki and Raymond (Rose Marie) Burrowes.

Preceded in death by a brother John Wurbia; sisters: Rose Jures and Vera Sieracki.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Friday, March 8, 2013 from 4-8 PM and Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Seymour United Methodist Church from 10:00 AM until services at 11:00 AM with Pastor Rebecca Henry officiating.
