Ann Peotter, 92, Seymour, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Shepherd's Inn. She was born on January 23, 1930, to the late Arnold and Delia (Metoxen) Vander Bloomen. Ann was proud to be an enrolled Oneida Tribal member. On November 10, 1948, she was united in marriage to Edward Frank Peotter Jr., and the couple celebrated 66 years of marriage. Ed preceded Ann in death on February 14, 2015.
She was a member of New Life United Methodist Church in Seymour. Edward and Ann farmed in the Town of Osborn until their retirement. Ann was a member and founder of the Dairyland Snowmobile Club. She enjoyed baking, sewing, and making quilts. Her most important passion was raising her five children.
She is survived by her children: Jim (Marcia) Peotter, Tom (Diane) Peotter, Amy (Jan) Kazik, Sue (Keven) Koser, and Peggy (Corey) Bristol; 13 grandchildren: 25 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Margie Curren and Fran DeBroux;
In addition to her husband, Ann was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Beth Vander Heiden; two sisters, Ruth (Merle) Laes and Alice Vander Bloomen; one infant brother; and one half-sister, Helen (Arnold Sr.) Hill.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Friday, August 5, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 12:00 noon with Pastor Gail Ray officiating. Burial will take place in Seymour City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
