Anna "Jean" Kramer, age 81, formerly of Seymour, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2007 at Colonly Oaks Nursing Home in Appleton. She was born March 25, 1926 to the late William and Marie Elizabeth (Van Doorn) Hilgenberg.
She married the late Arnold Kramer who passed away July 13, 1995.
Jean was a member of the Freedom VFW Auxillary and was a 4-H club leader for many years. She was employed at the Outagamie County Mental Health Department for 22 years and had been union president.
Jean enjoyed bowling, sewing, quilting, her trees and her garden. She loved to spoil her grandchildren.
Jean is survived by a daughter Mary Ann (Dean) Luedtke, Larsen; 2 sons: Robert Kramer, Appleton, and William Kramer, Texas; 5 grandchildren: Carrie Kramer, Elizabeth, Charlotte, Phillip and Abigail Luedtke. She is also survived by a sister Kathleen Berg, Seymour; 2 brothers: William (Dorothy) Hilgenberg, New Lisbon, Ralph (Shirley) Hilgenberg, Seymour; and 4 sister-in-laws: Joyce, Hazel, and Pearl Kramer and Gloria Hilgenberg.
She was preceded in death by 2 daughters: Virginia Wilke and Catherine Kramer; a son Gerard Kramer; 2 brothers: Martin and Ernie Hilgenberg; several brother-in-laws and several sister-in-laws.
Friends may call to the Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home in Seymour, on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, from 4 to 8 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday, Sept. 14, 2007, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Seymour from 10 to 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. at the church with Father Robert Kabat officiating. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery.
