Barbara (Barb) J. Henry, age 63, Shiocton, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 21, 2009 with her loving family by her side.

She was born on February 23, 1946 to the late Lawrence and Doris (Beattie) Lutz. Barb was united in marriage to James Henry on February 27, 1965 in Shiocton.

Barb enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her three grandchildren. She was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church.

Barb retired from Sara Lee Foods (formerly Hillshire Farms) where she was employed for 30 years. Her hobbies included cooking, shopping, knitting and spoiling all of her loved ones.

Barb is survived by her husband of 44 years, Jim; her two sons, Jon (Cheryl), Shiocton; and their children, Kyle and Caitlyn; Russ (Michelle), Black Creek; and their daughter, Mikayla; three sisters, Jane (Chopper) Guerin, Shiocton; Jean Lutz, Shiocton; and Kathi (Paul) Lemont, Terre Haute, IN; mother-in-law, Esther Henry, Greenville. Barb was also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Gary, maternal and paternal grandparents and her father-in-law.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Sunday, December 27, 2009 from 4 PM until 8 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday, December 28, 2009 at St. Denis Catholic Church, N5591 Second Street, Shiocton from 9:30 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM with Father John Kastenholz and Sister Pauline Feiner officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Denis parish cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com .

The family would like to thank Thedacare at Home Hospice, especially Kelly Kirby, family friend Sue Berard, and all of Barb's caregivers who helped us during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.

Barb, we'll always remember you sitting at the kitchen table watching the birds. Now you are free to fly with them.
