Anyone who knew Cookie knew she would want none of us to be sad with her passing, but to always remember all the joy, love, friendship and silliness she brought to our lives.
They say, "Today is the first day of the rest of your life." Well July 3rd, 2015 was the first day of the rest of our lives without Cookie Wilson when her life ended in a motorcycle accident.
Riding her motorcycle was one of her greatest pleasures. Cookie had many lifelong pleasures including her husband Randy, her children Gary and Jeff, her Grandchildren Macy, Felicity, Ashlea and Kaylee. She loved gardening, her many pets, God and friends. She loved taking care of her home and preparing for holidays with Halloween and Christmas being her favorites. She loved baking and crafting. She loved horror movies and pointing out the silly things in life. Cookie always lit up a room and made her presence known. In a world of unique people Cookie definitely stood out.
Cookie always had a curiousness for life and experiencing new things. This is probably why everyone knew her and loved her. She loved to be goofy, silly and sometimes crazy. She was compassionate, faithful and full of unbridled hope.
While it is true that none of our lives will ever be the same and we will all have a hole deep inside that only Cookie can fill she would have wanted us all to go on and remember her fondly. Remember her laughter, remember her smile, remember her charity, remember her friendship and most of all remember her love.
If Cookie could speak to us one last time she would give us all a big hug, a kiss on the cheek and say, "I love you. Be good. I'll miss you and I can't wait to see you on the other side."
