Ben Seehafer, age 71, of Shiocton passed away comfortably with his family by his side on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at ThedaClark Medical Center. He was born July 13, 1944 a son of Marie (Bessette) Seehafer and the late Norman Seehafer.
On August 26, 1967 he was united in marriage to Sandy Wiedenhoeft.
Ben was employed with Red Owl, Doersch Packing, and Theobald Masonry until his retirement.
He enjoyed sports, westerns, joking, happy hour, golfing, watching the grandkids, and spending family time at the cottage.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy; children: Lynn (Scott) Weatherwax, Clintonville; Michele (Cory) Susor, Greenville; and Bryan (Heather) Seehafer, Shawano; grandchildren: Emma and Elizabeth Weatherwax, Rianne and Reese Rosenow, Rachel Susor, Hannah, Lauren, and Logan Seehafer. Further survived by his mother, Marie Seehafer, Appleton; sister, Betty (Dan) Splitt, Sun Prairie; niece, Kari (John) Speakman; nephews: Jon Splitt and Eric Hanson.
In addition to his father, Ben was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Seehafer.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, February 1, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Black Creek, from 9:30 am until the funeral mass at 11:00 am with Fr. Theodore Hendricks officiating. Burial will take place in the Bethesda Cemetery.
