Bernadette Gehring, age 90 passed away February 27, 2009 at Appleton Health Care Center.
She was born December 10, 1918 daughter of the late Peter and Jenny (Van Lannen) Liebergen in Wrightstown. On May 7, 1938 she was united in marriage to Norman A. Gehring at St. Margaret Mary Church in Neenah. She lived in Freedom since her marriage and was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and a former member of the Christian Mothers Society.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Vi (Len) Landwehr, Shawano and The Villages, FL; Pearl (Paul) Green, Freedom; one son and daughter-in-law, Lloyd (Sandy) Gehring, Freedom; nine grandchildren: Greg (Lynn) Landwehr, Chris (Andrea) Landwehr, Michael (Brenda) Landwehr, David (Cindy) Landwehr, Mark (Cindy) Green, Tom (Angie) Green, Todd (Lori) Gehring, Tracy (Bob) Gavronski and Tim (Kim) Gehring; also, nineteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Germaine Hutjens and three sisters-in-law: Agnes and Eileen Liebergen and Anita Hermsen.
Bernadette was preceded in death by her husband, Norman in 2003, two grandsons, Steven Green in 1979 and Patrick Green in 1983. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Olive (Bill) Fritsch, Lorraine (Norbert) Weiland, eight brothers: Harry (Lillian), Urban (Sally), Omer (Dora),Cyus (Leona), Eugene (Rosemary), her twin Willard. Nestor, Leander, one brother-in-law, Henry Hutjens. Also her husbands family, mother and father-in-law, Anna and Andrew Gehring, William, Joseph, John (Rose) Gehring and Helen (Cliff) Nabbefeldt.
Friends may call at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom on Monday, March 2, 2009 from 10 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at Noon with Father Dave Hoffman and Deacon Donald Newhouse officiating.
