LAHA, BERNICE M.
Green Bay formerly of Seymour
Bernice M. Laha, age 80, passed away early Wednesday morning, April 13, 2011 at GranCare Nursing Home in Green Bay. She was born May 3, 1930, daughter of the late Henry and Clara (Dehn) Kuske.
On May 5, 1951 she was united in marriage to Ormond "Fuzz" Laha in Oneida. The couple spent 41 years of marriage together before his death on October 25, 1992.
Bernice had the opportunity to travel the majority of the U.S. and portions of Canada as the wife of a serviceman.
She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed many Uno games with her grandchildren. Bernice often would make suggestions to throw a party for birthdays, family reunions, or even for no specific reason at all. Getting the family together was very important to her.
Bernice enjoyed spending time outdoors bird watching, or watching the deer and turkeys. She was known as an avid fisherman and was involved in many different fishing stories.
Survivors include her 4 children: Terry , Seymour, Sally (Bill) Luchterhand, De Pere, Mark (Amy), De Pere, and Scott ( Lori), Pulaski; 7 grandchildren: Heidi (Don Jr.) Huey, Sam (Nicole) Luchterhand, Nicole Laha, Amber Laha, Megan Laha, Ryan (Elle) Laha, and John Laha; 4 great grandchildren: Don Huey III, Corey Everson, Olivia Huey and Violet Fowles-Luchterhand; 2 sisters: Dorothy Vandenlangenberg, Seymour, and Lorraine Bessert, Lakewood; 2 sisters-in-law: Karen Kuske, Seymour, and Virginia Laha, Arizona.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son Donald; grandson Alan; 3 brothers: Mel, Merlin, and Hank Jr.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Friday, April 15, 2011 from 3 PM until services at 7 PM.
