Betty Dettman

June 12, 1932 — August 9, 2012

Betty J. Dettman, 80, of Seymour passed away at Good Shepherd Nursing Home on August 9, 2012. She was born June 12, 1932 in Washington, daughter of the late Robert and Cora (Lemke) Hackl. On January 22, 1949 she was united in marriage to Ewald Dettman. He preceded her in death January 1, 2008.

Betty was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Township of Cicero where she was active in the WELCA ladies group. She farmed with her husband for 24 years and was employed at Shopko until her retirement. Betty enjoyed playing cards with her friends, traveling especially to New Zealand, Hawaii, Alaska and Australia.

Survivors include her children: Allen (Janice) Dettman, Suamico; Roy (Penny) Dettman, Angelica; Judy (Dan) Voight, Seymour; grandchildren: Becky (Dan) Beaudoin; Brad (Stephanie) Dettman; Jessica Dettman; Crystal (Brian) Kruncos; Waylon and Travis Cornell; Brittany Voight; Douglas (Nicole) Steiner; Shawn and Corey Steiner; great-grandchildren: Justin, Alex, Kailey, Emma Steiner, Amber and baby girl, Hayley, Zachary, Andrew, Samantha and Lyssa. She is further survived by her brother Robert Hackl Jr.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Hackl; sisters: Isabel Wojkiewicz, Evelyn Shemoncofsky and Roberta Mc Kenna.

Friends may call at Cicero Immanuel Lutheran Church, N9580 County Road X, Black Creek, on Sunday, August 12 , 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until services at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com
