Betty Jean Hillsberg, 77, Navarino, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton. She was born on November 24, 1943, to the late Ervin and Bernice (Hartwig) Raddant. Betty was 1961 graduate of Shawano High School. On April 20, 1968, she was united in marriage to Jack Hillsberg in Shawano. Jack preceded Betty in death on December 14, 2010. She was a longtime member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Navarino.
Betty and Jack owned and operated a plumbing business, and they enjoyed working alongside each other. Betty later worked for many years as the secretary at Ascension Lutheran Church in Navarino. She finished her working years at the Navarino Nature Center until her retirement in 2010. In her younger years, Betty and Jack spent a lot of time snowmobiling and fishing. Later in life she enjoyed watching the birds and spending time with her friends and family. Betty could often be found listening to music channels or watching animal channels on her television.
She is survived by one brother: James (Sandra) Raddant, Shawano; brothers-in-law: Harlo (Peggy) Hillsberg, Navarino, Rodney (Barbara) Hillsberg, Navarino, and Timothy (Jue) Hillsberg, Thailand; one sister-in-law, Helen Raddant, Shawano; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends; and her dear friend, Mary Marohl.
In addition to her husband, Betty was preceded in death by two brothers: Bob and Allen Raddant; and one nephew, Danny Hillsberg.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church, Navarino, on Thursday, July 29, 2021, Pastors Mark and Marcia Sabin officiating. Burial will take place at the parish cemetery. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
