Betty Morgan

July 1, 1956 — January 26, 2015

Betty Jean Morgan, 58, of Seymour, passed away unexpectedly Monday evening, January 26, 2015 at Bellin Hospital. She was born July 1, 1956, daughter of Barbara Goeglein and the late Nelo Rhoton, in Flagstaff, AZ.

Betty was a member of the Oneida Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. "Miss Betty" taught piano lessons in her home to local Seymour children. Her students absolutely adored her fun and goofy personality. She instilled a love of music to each and every one of them. She loved the fine arts and raised her children with opportunities to attend musicals and concerts. Betty's family was her everything - and that was evident by the massive amount of photos that decorated her home from floor to ceiling. She loved being a mother and she consistently said that being "Logan's mom" gave her a reason for getting up in the morning and fighting her chronic pain. As much as she loved being a mother she loved the job of "mema" to her grandchildren even more. She always tried to attend their many activities when she could and one of the last major events was the birth of her latest grandson - born just 5 days before her untimely death. She loved Joel Osteen for his motivation and quotes can be found sprinkled throughout her home to keep positivity coming her way. Betty was known to everyone as a crazy fun loving personality. Her nephew, Nathan, described it best when he said Aunt Betty could "make me laugh like no other person I know. She lit up a room far greater than any Christmas tree. She will be forever missed". She was a big kid at heart and could make anyone feel at ease with her beautiful spirit. She will be sorely missed by everyone who was touched by her life.

She is survived by her children: Heather (Brian) Hasse, Seymour; Pamela (Nicholas) Cianciola, Phoenix, AZ; Logan Morgan, Seymour; and their father, Robert Morgan; eight grandchildren: Alex, Mackenzie, Natalie, Kennedy, T.J., Grant Hasse, Seymour and Giada and Vincenzo Cianciola, Phoenix, AZ; her mother, Barbara Rhoton; two brothers: Walter Rhoton and Randy Rhoton.

Betty is preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Kerby and an infant brother, Guy Rhoton.
