Beverly Ward

Beverly J. Ward, age 86, of Black Creek and formerly of Suring, passed away at Good Shepherd Nursing Home on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. She was born on August 15, 1936 to the late Edward and Agnes (Wozniak) Rueckert.

She was united in marriage to the late Bion Ward on October 6, 1956. He preceded her in death on December 29, 1999.

Beverly was a member of Cicero Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening at her place up north, and her grandchildren.

Beverly is survived by her children: Crystal Ward, Douglas (Carolyn) Ward, Shelly (Randy) Diemel, Melissa (Mark) Phillips, Audrey Pogrant, Bion Joel (Tammie) Ward, Craig (Tammy) Ward; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by three brothers and three sisters.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandchild and two great-grandchildren; two sisters and a brother.

Visitation will take place at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Monday, January 16, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cicero from 9:30 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am with Pastor Ben Williams officiating. Burial will take place at Elm Lawn Cemetery, Roselawn.
