Bonnie Marciniak

March 21, 1943 — December 13, 2023

Bonnie Jean Marciniak (Spoehr) left us on the 13th of December, 2023, at the age of 80.

Born on March 21st, 1943 she entered the world as she left it: as a light of love and beauty.

A graduate of Bonduel High School class of 1961, Bonnie befriended an older Lloyd Koeller who told her about his younger brother John, who was serving in the Marines. Bonnie and John became long distance pen pals and when he returned home, the two became one and married July 29th of the same year. Together they raised a family of four children: Dean, Tammy, Vicky, and Jason.

After years together, Bonnie and John parted ways as spouses, but remained close friends until his passing on November 20th, 1989.

On June 28th, 1986 Bonnie remarried Valerian Marciniak and gained two additional children, her stepsons Mark and Tim.

Bonnie was a lady, well dressed, hair done, and perfectly coordinated. At. All. Times. Even leading up to the week of her death she made sure her daughter and granddaughter picked out matching clothes for her. She presented herself like she did her home: well kept, warm, and classically beautiful. And much like her ever changing hairstyles, you never knew what couch she'd have or kitchen table. It was always a surprise to see her current decor, but rest assured, it was lovely: as she was.

She enjoyed her daily coke and peanut butter sandwich and ended her day watching Wheel of fortune: where she won at home nearly every time. A Dominos pizza and a cold bud light on Saturday nights were something she looked forward to, but her soft blue eyes twinkled most when she was making memories with her family. Whether it be an afternoon at the casino with her son Dean, doing scratch off tickets with daughter Tammy, or playing countless games of Scrabble with daughter Vicky, these were the moments that mattered most to her.

She'd spend hours baking and prepping for company, especially loving on her grand babies by means of a recipe and apron strings. Everyone had a favorite, and it was her pleasure to fill bellies with what they loved. Because she loved them so. Potato salad and chip dip, hot dish, banana bread, and French toast to name a few. And if fresh, homemade goodness didn't quite hit the spot, you could always grab a handful of goodies from her candy dish that was always on the counter and seemingly always full. If you went to Bonnie's hungry you certainly didn't leave that way, and that's just the way she liked it. It was her joy to serve those she loved.

Bonnie was the matriarch of her family for many, many years, since being preceded in death by her parents Kieth and Gladys Spoehr. Additionally, her brother Keith Jr, beloved son Jason, grandson Sean, husband Valerian, step son Mark, and son in law Frank have also passed away preceding her own death.

It is those who live on after her passing who are truly survivors: as they begin to imagine a life without her in it.

These individuals include her children: son Dean Koeller (Linda) of Shawano, daughter Tammy Gille of Shawano, daughter Vicky Jung (Dave) of New Braunfuls, Texas, and her "bonus" daughter Heather Brandt of Cape Coral, Florida.

Eight grandchildren: Amanda, Holly, Christi, Shane, Scott, Tanya, Nick, and Madison. As well as twelve great grandchildren.

Each of these people held a piece of Bonnie's heart, and she will forever remain a part of theirs, as well as her extended family and closest friends.

On her bed she had a pillow that read "Blessed beyond measure" and as her life drew to a close that's exactly how she saw her time here. A wonderful 80 years, a beautiful family, and a hope in the promise that she'd be reunited with her loved ones again.

Nothing can separate us from love, not even death: and in the ever after it is this very love which reunites us once again.
