Bonnie Rea Peterson, age 70, of South Elgin, IL, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2014. She was born September 26, 1943 daughter of the late Ray and Edith (Blair) Peterson.
Bonnie grew up in Cavour and Seymour, WI. She retired in 2012 from Grand Victor Casino, Elgin, IL after 45 years in the gaming industry. Her passion was Egyptian archeology and history, and frequently enjoyed listening to Yanni music. Her father was a telegrapher for the railroad which influenced her mini collection of train memorabilia.
In her life's travels she spent some time in Carson City as a cowgirl, traveled to Europe several times and she felt she lived a full life. She was an avid martial art practitioner throughout her life and earned her black belt in Bujutsu and black sash in Tai Chi in 2012. She was a avid golfer, that's why she wanted her final resting place looking over the golf course.
She is survived by her cousins, Bob and Lynn Blair; dear friend, Thomas O'Shaughnessy and many friends across the country.
