Brent James Wisner, 67, Black Creek, passed away at home on Wednesday, November 3, 2021. He was born on May 28, 1954, to the late Robert and Joanna (Townsend) Wisner. Brent was a 1972 graduate of Neenah High School, where he participated in sports, mainly track, and he specialized in running hurdles. Following graduation he joined the United States Navy where he became a Seabee. He was also a boxer for the Navy and had many stories to tell. Brent was a 30-plus-year member of the Black Creek American Legion Post #332 and was proud to be a Vietnam Era veteran.
He met Becky Schaal, the love of of his life, and the couple was united in marriage on October 22, 1977, and they had three amazing daughters. He worked in road construction as a heavy equipment operator using the skills he learned as a Seabee. Brent worked for Bob Radtke Construction, Appleton Papers, and most importantly he spent the majority of his career at MCC where he spent many cherished years working with his father. He also enjoyed the years he spent plowing snow for the village of Black Creek and for Scott Marcks Trucking & Excavating.
Brent was a lover of playing and listening to music. He played multiple instruments in many bands over the years. His favorites were "Yesterday" and "Yesterday Revisited." He loved the Beatles, Clapton, and his 50s, 60s, and 70s rock. Brent's grandchildren were the light of his life. He enjoyed teaching them important life skills, helping with fair projects, building the model train village, and letting them make music and make noise. Brent kept special instruments just for them so they didn't wreck the good stuff. He took great pride in his yard and loved to be outside working. Brent's favorite place to be was up north in the Harrison Hills with his best friends Jer, Fina, and Kenny B. They spent their time hunting, fishing, jamming out, and recording music. He also really enjoyed helping Sara and Craig on the farm back in their farming days.
