Bruce W. Spaulding, age 57, of Black Creek lost his three and a half year battle with cancer on Friday, March 21, 2014 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born May 25, 1956 to the late Lester and Carol (Lieske) Spaulding.
Bruce was united in marriage to Beverly Nelson on May 25, 2012 in Appleton.
He worked for Miron Construction most of his life until retiring in 2011.
Bruce was an avid Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Racing fan. Driving his Corvette was one of his favorite things to do. He was a cat lover for many years as he enjoyed their companionship. Bruce was also fond of his canine friend, Buttons. He took great pride in his flower and vegetable gardens, always making sure there was plenty to go around.
Bruce had a special place in his heart for the grandchildren. One of the last things he was able to do was to build a dollhouse for his granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; son, Christopher (special friend Brandi), Pulaski; daughter, Kimberly (special friend Cody) Spaulding, Neenah; step-son, Michael (special friend Sarah) Rihm, Black Creek; step-daughter, Jennifer (Jeremy) VanDinter, Menasha; grandchildren: Payton, Arianna, Adalynn, and expected baby boy; brothers: Carl Spaulding, Idaho; and Jay (Dawn) Spaulding, Clintonville; and his nephew Zachary. Further survived by aunts, uncles, in-laws, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Brian; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harvey and Jeannine Nelson.
