Carl L. Ibe, age 81, passed away Monday morning, August 24, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Green Bay. He was born May 12, 1928 to the late Henry and Mable (Sonneman) Ibe. On November 27, 1953 he was united in marriage to Bette Boye.
Carl attended Howard Grove High School and then served in the Army. He graduated from Lakeland College and received his M.S. from Oshkosh. He taught and coached in Elroy and Seymour. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame at Lakeland College for basketball, football, and baseball.
Survivors include, his wife Bette, and was very proud of his three daughters and grandchildren: Karla (David) Downey, Kristi Ibe-Davis (Fiancee Tim Zoern), Kay Hetzel (Fiancee Dan Hinton), grandchildren: Emily, Elizabeth and Sam Downey; Tanner Davis and Matthew and Andrew Hetzel; one sister Vernetta Stentz, one brother Jack Prisinger.
He was preceded in death by one sister Bernice Milz.
