Carl D. Parker, age 71, passed away Thursday evening, January 20, 2011 at his home surrounded by family after an 8 year battle with cancer. He was born May 29, 1939, son of the late Andrew and Cecilia (Silas) Parker.

Carl was a member of the Wisconsin Indian Veteran Association, Oneida VFW Post #7784. He was a life long member of the Oneida area and a member of the Oneida United Methodist Church. Carl drove Ready Mix Concrete Truck his entire working career. He was an avid Packer, Brewer and Bucks fan. He also enjoyed playing bingo and slot machines. Carl was a very giving, caring and humble man with a great sense of humor. He loved spending time with his family especially his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his two daughters: Michelle (Jake) Sawyer, Green Bay; Jolene Parker, Oneida; three sons: Robert Parker, William Parker, Terry (fiancee Raquel) Pamanet, all of Green Bay; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brother; Andrew Parker Jr., Oneida; two sisters: Leatrice Powless and Althea Schuyler, both of Oneida; sister-in-law, Geraldine Parker, Oneida; special friends, Isabel Parker, Oneida.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Ann Cornelius, brothers, Clifford Cornelius and Russell Parker.

Friends may call at Oneida United Methodist Church on Monday, January 24, 2011 from 9 AM until services at 11 AM with Pastor Earl Smith officiating with the Oneida Singers at 10:30 AM.
