Carl Ward

Carl Ward, age 70, of Seymour passed away on Monday, October 24, 2011 at Shepherd's Inn in Seymour.
He was born May 15, 1941 to the late Joel and Rose (Buchberger) Ward. On August 12, 1961 he was united in marriage to Luella Rueckert.
Carl attended Elm Lawn grade school and Seymour High School. He was a self-employed plumber and was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Seymour.
Survivors include his wife Luella; children: Brent Ward (special friend Cindy Claymore), Brenda Ward (special friend Mike Smith), Bryant (Lori) Ward, Bretina Ward, Bridget Ward, and Brett (Kathy) Ward; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Also survived by his brothers and sisters: Nancy Piccolo, Glen (Yvonne) Ward, Joan Abel, Mina (Bruce) Landsverk, Mary (Sam) Rettler, Dan (Cindy) Ward, Anita (Raymond) Theobald, Patrick (Colleen) Ward, Debra (William) Dicke, and Lisa Ward.
He was preceded in death by a sister Janis Trettin; 3 brothers: Ivan "Bud", David, and William; in-laws: Domenico Piccolo, Kenneth Trettin, and Robert Abel.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Thursday, October 27, 2011 from 5 PM to 8 PM. Visitation will continue at St. John Catholic Church, Seymour, on Friday, October 28, 2011 from 10 AM until services at 12 noon. Burial will take place at Elm Lawn Cemetery in the town of Maple Grove.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
