Carla Oskey

Carla Jean Oskey, age 68, passed away at ThedaCare Medical Center, Appleton on June 12, 2021 following a lifelong battle with diabetes.

She was born on March 19, 1953 to Carlton and Florence (Bahr) Planert. Carla was united in marriage to William "Bill" P. Oskey on May 3, 1985. Bill preceded her in death on May 10, 2019.

She enjoyed feeding and watching the orioles and was an avid reader.

Carla is survived by her step-children: Michelle Oskey, Renee (Jonny) Veenstra, and Billy (Rochelle) Oskey; 12 step-grandchildren and many step-great-grandchildren; brothers: Lee (Carol) Planert and Bruce (Karen) Planert; in-laws: Hollis Carpenter; Ellen (Ray) Affeldt, Joe (special friend, Debbie) Oskey, Ann Oskey, Marie (Larry) Gehring, and Bernard (Pauline) Oskey; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a step-granddaughter, Zoe Fiers; in-laws: Lucy Carpenter, Phyllis Nitzske, Jerry Oskey, and David Oskey.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 4:00 pm until the funeral service at 7:00 pm with Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating. Entombment will take place in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
