Carol Bichel

Carol Jean Bichel, 65, of Black Creek, passed away Tuesday morning, April 28, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born November 19, 1949 daughter of the late Viola (Diedrick) Evers.

Carol married Terry Van Boxtel having raised three children and the couple were later divorced.

She began her career bartending in the 1980's at Tommy G's in Kaukauna. Over the years she continued bartending at Leap In in Freedom. Carol made many friends bartending throughout the years.

On April 29, 2000 she was united in marriage to Rick Bichel. Carol and Rick enjoyed going to Packer games together.

Carol liked going up north and staying at the motorhome during the summer, sitting around the campfire and enjoying the outdoors. She attended Rockfest in Cadott with Rick for the past 21 years where she was considered "mom" to the Rockfest family. Carol also enjoyed attending NASCAR races. Seeing her friends while she went to sign-in was one of her favorite things to do. Carol also enjoyed doing paint by number paintings, working on them almost every day.

She is survived by her husband Rick; children: Todd (Heather) Van Boxtel, Lona Van Boxtel, Tara (Quentin) Kasuboski, Halley and Emily Bichel; grandchildren: Travis and Brittany Van Boxtel; Kayla and Crystal Olson; Nathan, Maya, Lucas, and Parker Kasuboski. Further survived by brothers and sisters: Jim (Marilyn) Evers, twin brother Carl (Betty) Evers, Nancy (John) Ziegert, Jerry (Connie) Evers, and Cheryl VanToll; mother-in-law, Pat Bichel; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Chuck (Pam) Bichel, Gary Bichel, Sharon (Glen) Jensen, Katie (Dan) Hulke, and Jennifer (Brandon) Trimble; special niece, Sara Bichel; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Carol is preceded in death by her mother, Viola; and father-in-law, Bob Bichel.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 3pm to 6pm with a memorial service to follow. Major Edward Jarvis will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established for Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology in Carol's memory.
