Carol Jean (Felton) Klitzke, age 77, of Black Creek passed away January 24, 2015 at Appleton Medical Center with her family by her side. Carol was born March 4, 1937 to the late Ervin and Florence Felton in Black Creek, WI.
On June 18, 1955 at the Black Creek Methodist Church she was united in marriage to Lloyd Klitzke. Carol and Lloyd farmed in the town of Ellington for many years. Lloyd and Carol were also the owners of Klitzke Construction Company until the time of their retirement.
Carol was an avid reader, puzzle master, and enjoyed her sunrise walks.
She is survived by her children: Connie (David) VandeHei, Suring; Lyndon (Patricia) Klitzke, Randy (special friend Leslie) Klitzke, Amy (Richard) LuMaye all of Black Creek. Carol is further survived by 10 grandchildren: Joseph (Christina) VandeHei, Beaver Dam; Angela (Larry) VandeHei, Green Bay; Robert (Bonnie) Van Hulst, Oconto Falls; Ashley (Mike) Rummel, Suring; Christopher (Larissa) VandeHei, Winona Lake, IN; Jeremy Klitzke, Portland, OR; Nicholas (Katie) Klitzke, Kaukauna; Danelle Klitzke, Appleton; Jessica (De'Andre) Hemingway, Kaukauna; and Mike (Sophia) LuMaye, Appleton. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren: Jasmine, Jeffrey, Elizabeth, Aaliyah, Rashaud, AnnaLee, and Lacy; one sister, Mary (Louie) Resop; two special nieces: Chris (special friend Gordy) Lemmers and Sue (Rich) Nerbun; other nieces and nephews: Carol (Dick) Brueggerman, Larry (Judy) Klitzke, Edward (Ruth) Klitzke, Judy (Milan) Westphal, Barbara Klitzke, Bill Klitzke, Julie (Chris) Misorski, and Sandy Prunty.
Carol is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd of 47 years, infant son Jeffrey, her parents Ervin and Florence Felton, in-laws Paul and Hattie Klitzke, sister Judith Felton, brothers-in-law: Eldo Klitzke, Lawrence (LauraMae) Klitzke, Herbert Resop, sister-in-law Adele Heiden, and nephew John Heiden.
Visitation will be at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in the town of Center on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from 9 am until the funeral service at 11 am with Pastor Jeffrey Suhr and Pastor Micah Martin officiating. Committal services will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, is assisting the family with arrangements.
The family would like to thank the first responders along with the nurses and hospice staff at Appleton Medical Center on the 8th floor.
