Cassandra Caler

October 6, 1973 — December 5, 2024

Cassandra "Cassie" Lee Caler passed away surrounded by her family on December 5, 2024 at the age of 51. Cassie was born on October 6, 1973 in Waukesha, WI to Clarence and Susan (Houk) Witterholt. Cassie was joined in marriage to Michael "Mike" Caler on December 6,1997.

Cassie is survived by her loving husband Mike; children Erica (Mitchell) Sorenson and grandson Owen; Michael Caler; and Airman Caitlyn Caler. She is further survived by her siblings Lindsay (Jason) Ard; Amanda (Justin) Schmidt; Peter Witterholt along with nieces and nephews Abby and Alex Ard; Carson and Caden Schmidt; Wyatt, Lane, and Audrianna Witterholt. She is further survived by close Uncle Bill (Jen) Witterholt and Alexis and Dakota. Mike's mother Joyce Caler, siblings Donald Caler, Mary (Maurice) Hupp, Terry Mohr, Mark (Lynn) Caler, Paula (Tom) Armour and their son Lucas. Additionally many aunts, uncles, cousins and additional family.

Cassie is preceded in death by her grandparents Clarence (Dorothy) Witterholt, Gerald (Audrey) Houk, father-in-law Paul Caler and sister-in-law Shirley Caler.

Cassie had a huge personality and loved with her whole heart. She enjoyed every moment of time with her grandson, Owen. She was just at his school and looked forward to many more experiences with him. Her love for her nieces and nephews was endless. She was always the fun aunt! Movie night to baking to fires in the back yard - whatever they wanted to do, Cassie was the first one getting supplies and running to pick up the kids.

She loved a lot - all people and all things. From, her love of animals - dogs, cats, turtles, fish, snails, fish, frogs, fish, crabs, chinchilla, and calves and more fish! Here and there she'd have to make a quick call to Peter, hide a new pet for a day or two before bringing it home to Mike. He may not be excited for the new pet but, like usual, Cassie knew the home needed another pet :)

The last few years Cassie, Mike, family and friends thoroughly enjoyed their Harley and Jeep rides around here and Tennessee. She was so proud of her new toys. She had so much life, trips and family she was looking forward to.

Her favorite season has been Christmas since the kids were little. She had five trees at minimum each year. From the grandmother tree, to the cardinal or dove tree. Each holiday theme was larger than the last. She always brought the holiday season to any Grinch. Christmas will never be the same without her.

Her life was too short. She was taken from her family way too soon.

We will never forget you. You will forever be in our hearts...memories are simply not enough.
