Charles "Chuck" E. Blahnik, age 72, of Seymour, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour. He was born on May 31, 1938, son of the late John and Mildred (Eiting) Blahnik. Chuck along with his wife, Carmie, farmed in the town of Seymour for many years and later he ran a successful crop insurance agency. He was a member of St John's Catholic Church in Seymour and was a past Lions Club Member and School Board member.
Dad had a passion for Sales and the opportunity to meet people. He loved to travel the countryside and visit with his friends and customers. He had a smile that could light up room and that smile charmed the wonderful caretakers he had in the final years and days of his life. But that smile shined brightest when the love of his life, Carmie, walked in the room.
Survivors include his children; Melanie (Tim) Hortsman, Fond du lac, Barbara Blahnik, Seymour, John Blahnik, Seymour, Collette (Andy) Wilichowski, Seymour and B.J. (Victoria) Blahnik and their expected infant son, Sheboygan, 8 grandchildren; Phillip, Michelle, Allison, Luke, Jessica, Cody, John II, and Jack, 3 great grandchildren; Ava, Aubrey, and Ashtyn, brother; Ted (Kathy) Blahnik, Washington, sisters; Angela Duda, Kaukauna, Ellen (Bob) Propson, Sherwood, Joan O'Malley, Maryland and Jean Blahnik of Green Bay.
Preceded in death by a sister, Beth.
Friends may call at the Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 from 4 until 8 pm with a prayer service at 7:30. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 with visitation at St John's Catholic Church Seymour from 10 am until services at 11 am with Fr. Bob Kabat officiating, burial in the parish cemetery. A memorial fund has been established. On line condolences may be expressed at www. muehlboettcher.com.
