It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Charles "Chuck" Wendt, 73, of Wrightstown, on May 1st, after a 3 year long battle with cancer.
Charles was born on November 11, 1950 in Green Bay and was raised in Door County by his grandparents Ervin and Clara Wendt. On November 1, 1969 he was united in marriage to Kathleen "Kathy" Abel.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Wendt; three sons and their families: Troy (Meghan) Wendt, Jake (Katie) Wendt, Eric Wendt; grandchildren: Max, Charlie, Sammi Jo, Brittany, Lizzie, Ashley, Jakob; great-grandchildren: Silas, Caleb, and Connor; many cousins; Kathy's family: Sharon Abel, Barb (Steve) Frank, Julie Abel, Leroy Abel, Kevin Abel, Scott (Lisa) Abel, all the friends he made at Bur and his beloved fur-buddy, Buckwheat.

Funeral services for Chuck will be held at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Saturday May 11, 2024 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
Chuck's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Bellin Cancer Center and to the wonderful staff of Unity Hospice for their compassionate care of Chuck in his final days. No words could ever express our gratitude.
Dad will always be remembered as a kind, hard-working man who loved people. He had the best sense of humor and a contagious laugh that could be heard a mile away. Rest easy dad.
Papa, you've given us so many wonderful memories to remember you by. Some of the best ones were walking to Greenville School to play "troll under the bridge", walking to Jennerjohn Park with a thermos of hot chocolate to go sledding, or when we would take your green truck for drives on the back roads and you would let us hold the steering wheel to steer the truck! Cousin sleepovers at your house on the blow-up mattress were always so much fun especially waking up to you making us pancakes and bacon with oj and strawberry milk! We always loved going to Lions Park to walk the nature trails, driving the jeep to the zoo, and making bird houses in the basement. You've left an imprint on each one of our hearts, papa, and you will forever be missed. We love you so much.
