Cheryl Ambrosius

Cheryl "Cheri" (Nelson) Ambrosius, age 40, of Seymour, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at her cottage in Iron River, MI unexpectedly of natural causes.

Cheri was born July 5, 1973 to the late Dick and Gerry (Linzmeyer) Nelson. She graduated from Ashwaubenon High School and continued her education at NWTC and also attended beauty college.

On July 20, 2001 she was united in marriage to Steve Ambrosius at Pamperin Park in Green Bay.

She loved being up north at her cottage, swimming, sewing, fishing, making jam, baking, and watching the Golden Girls. Talking on the phone was one of her favorite things to do and she would often be seen multi-tasking with her ear piece in. Cheri also enjoyed traveling with her husband and going to their vacation home in Florida. She liked spending time with her niece, Katie and her grandchildren. They were very special to her in many ways.

She is survived by her husband, Steve; three daughters: Nikki (Corry) Roffers, Ashley (Art) Werner, and Taylor Ambrosius; four grandchildren: Alaina and Colton Roffers, and Waylon and Emma Werner. Cheri is further survived by four siblings: Tammy (Glen) Sunita, Cindy (Dan) Schwartz, Rick (Debbie) Nelson, and Michael (Stacey) Nelson; niece Katie; two nephews: Christopher and Lee. She is also survived by her "step-family": Mike and Phyllis and all of the Melotte family, and many friends, including her dog Sammy and her cat Rosie.
In addition to her parents, Cheri was preceded in death by her dogs Duke and Zack.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 4 pm to 8 pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at St. John Catholic Church, Seymour, from 9:30 am until the funeral Mass as 11 am with Fr. Bob Kabat officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
