Christine Michelle Vanden Heuvel, 51, Seymour, passed away peacefully at home with her husband at her side on Sunday, October 18, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 20, 1969, to Richard and Connie (Lucero) Elmergreen in Colorado Springs, CO. She married the love of her life, Gregg Vanden Heuvel, on October 9, 2004, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Oneida.
Christine was employed by Wisconsin Air at the Appleton International Airport. She later worked for Schneider National, where she worked in human resources. Christine enjoyed spending time with her sons and getting together on holidays with family. She loved to go on trips and travel. One of her special loves was her best canine friend, "Ziggy Stardust." Next was her love for her cars and boat and spending time at her camping trailer on the river. When Christine walked into a room she was always the center of attraction because of her beauty and great sense of humor and laughter. She was very quick-witted and it was obvious when she played trivia. Christine maintained her positive attitude even during her battle with cancer. She was the envy of others because she had hundreds of friends.
Survivors include her husband, Gregg, Seymour; two sons: Cody Guyette (friend, Megan), Bellevue, and Colton Guyette (friend, Rachel), Kaukauna; one brother, Adam Elmergreen, De Pere; one sister, Joan (Jazz) Zakrzewski, Seymour; four uncles: James (Susan) Elmergreen, Shawano; Edward (Patsy) Elmergreen, Bowler; and Dr. Dennis (Candace) Elmergreen, Wausau, and Chris Lucero, Elbert, CO; two aunts: Valarie Elmergreen, Grand Rapids, MI, and Betty Lucero, Colorado Springs, CO; many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
