Christopher L. Scott, 40, of Shiocton passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at his home. He was born January 2, 1975 son of Shirley (Immel) Popp and the late Stephen Scott.
Chris graduated from Shiocton High School in 1993. On October 12, 1996 he married Tori Volkman, his high school sweetheart.
Following high school he worked building homes and later began working in concrete with Sommers Construction. He also enjoyed the time he worked at Pierce assembling fire trucks.
Chris played softball for many years. He enjoyed Packer games, playing cards with his friends, and being on his tractor working the land. His family knows how proud he was of his Chevy SS truck. Chris also enjoyed the time he spent working on the Volkman family farm.
Every year Chris was excited about ruff fishing on the river. Ice fishing trips with his uncle and cousins were some of his favorite times.
Chris was a very social person and people looked forward to hearing his many stories. He liked to make people laugh. Chris was a man with a huge heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Most importantly he loved time devoted with his family. His daughters were his world.
He is survived by his wife, Tori; daughters: Samantha and Makenna; mother, Shirley (Greg) Popp; sister, Stephanie (Pete) Scott; grandparents: Ruth Smith and Jean (Neal) Payton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gregory and BarbaraVolkman; sister-in-law, Shawn (Glenn) Staszak; brothers-in-law, Shannon (Nikki) Volkman and Christopher (Mandy) Volkman. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Saturday, June 20, 2015 from 1 pm until the memorial service at 5 pm with Pastor Mark Schwinn officiating.
Chris, you were my husband, my best friend, and father of our children. The girls and I will always be grateful for all of your hard work and dedication to our family. We will miss you and love you forever.
