Clifford John Dembroski, aged 83, peacefully passed away on December 26, 2023, at home with his loved ones. He was born on September 18, 1940, in Paulding, Michigan, to Casimier and Cecilia (Coshnet) Dembroski and his departure leaves an irreplaceable void in our hearts.
Cliff will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband to his wife of 61 years, Karen Belongia. Voted "Cutest Couple" of Oconto High School in 1959, they were united in marriage on October 13, 1962. Their marriage was blessed with two children, son David, and daughter Teresa (Michael) McMahon. Affectionately referred to as "Grumps" by his family, Cliff loved spending time with Karen, his kids, and his only Grandchild, Anastacia. He is also survived by his sister, Beverly Roehm; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Vernon and Dorothy Belongia; sister-in-law, Jean Faulds; and many adoring nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Cliff proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1959 to 1962. Following his honorable military service, he dedicated himself to a distinguished career at Fort Howard Paper Company, where he was employed for 35 years until his retirement as a Tour Boss in 1997. He served as Commander of the American Legion Post 106 in Seymour, WI and especially enjoyed conducting honors at Veterans' funerals, participating in preparing meals for meetings and fund raising events, marching in parades, and serving at the Outagamie County Fair with his fellow Veterans.
Cliff enjoyed woodworking, creating pieces along with his son that showcased their skills and attention to detail. He also spent time fishing, hunting, gardening, canning, mowing his pristine yard, and spending time in his "Man Cave" working on projects. His fondest moments were spent up north in Phillips gathered around a campfire, sharing stories and laughter with family and friends.
Clifford's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those of us who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of hard work, dedication, positivity, humor, and love will continue to inspire and guide us. May his soul find eternal peace, and may we find comfort in the beautiful memories we shared with him.
Visitation for Cliff will take place at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Isaar, on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 9:00 am until the funeral mass at 11:00 am with Fr. Sengole Dass and Deacon Rich Matuszak officiating. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 106 of Seymour.
