Comerita Talavera

Comerita "Leda" Talavera, age 38, of Green Bay and formerly of Chicago, passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at home following a battle with brain cancer. She was born October 10, 1975, a daughter of Eutimio Talavera and Harriet Kindness.

She worked for the Oneida Tribe for many years prior to her illness.

Leda loved her home city of Chicago. She was an urban art enthusiast, loved the outdoors nature, and spending time with her nieces and nephews, and enjoyed being their favorite auntie. Leda loved long motorcycle rides with her boyfriend, Chris. Leda's favorite pastime was playing with her cat Jax.

Leda is survived by her parents: Eutimio Talavera and Harriet Kindness; 2 sisters, Rietta Talavera; and Rebecca Boyd; 4 brothers: David Boyd, Doug (Sandi) Boyd, Octavio Talavera, and Eutimio Talavera Jr.; many nieces and nephews including her very special Abby-Doo; also survived by many other extended family members, including family in Mexico; and a special friend, Blanche.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; sister, Diana Lynn Boyd; a niece, a nephew, and many aunts and uncles.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 4 pm to 8pm with the Oneida Hymn singers at 6:30 pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Friday, August 15, 2014 from 9 am until the services at 10:30 am with Rev. Earl Smith officiating.

The fire will be held at Rietta's home, W1215 Beechtree Lane, Oneida, WI 54155.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Leda's memory.
