Connie DeLory, age 86, of Seymour passed away on Friday, June 4, 2010 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour. She was born June 24, 1923 to the late Adolpho and Juanita (Valdez) de la Pena.
She married Joseph Carr and the couple lived in many places throughout the country during Joe's military service.
Connie moved to Seymour from Kenosha in 1997.
She enjoyed cooking, reading, and arguing politics with anyone that would listen. Connie and Meegan did scrapbooking on a daily basis to keep the memories alive. She was also known for her sassy sense of humor.
Connie is survived by her children: Meegan (Doug) Iverson, Black Creek, Joseph Carr Jr., Florida, Timothy (Linda) Carr, Sheboygan Falls, and Martin (Pat) Carr, Florida. She is further survived by her nine grandchildren: Bronwyn (Albert) Peterson, Michael Iverson, Christian (Mary) Carr, Shellie Barb, Shaun Carr, Shannon Woitalla, Shane (Anna) Carr, Constance Jacklin, and Martin Carr Jr.; and also 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Margaret McEntee.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Thursday, June 10, 2010 from 2 PM until services at 4 PM with Deacon Orvell DeBruin officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
