Darrell L. Werner, 70, Seymour, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Bellin Hospital. He was born May 20, 1952, the youngest child of the late Fred and Lucille (Brocker) Werner. Darrell was raised in Seymour and was a 1970 graduate of Seymour High School. He was united in marriage to Robin Ott on December 30, 1972. Darrell was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour.
Darrell began his career in pest control at Wil-Kil Pest Control in 1974. He founded Werner Pest and Odor Control in 1992, and was the current owner. Darrell was a board member of the Wisconsin Pest Control Association for many years. He also belonged to the Union Thresheree Club in Symco.
Darrell had an incredible work ethic, and he greatly enjoyed his work. He loved playing horseshoes, bowling, and fishing. Darrell also enjoyed tinkering and woodworking. He had a soft spot in his heart for his German shepherds. Most importantly, Darrell loved his family.
He is survived by his wife, Robin Werner; four children: Chris Werner (fiance, Rich Klein); Jennifer (Ron) Fairchild; Colleen (Brad) Bucholtz; Jason (Tricia) Werner; five grandchildren: Killian and Liea Craft, Chase Fairchild, Caleb and Elizabeth Werner; one great-grandson, Kenshin Craft; siblings: Millie Kraning, Judy Davies, Carol Pingel, and Dave (Kathy) Werner; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley (Jim) Row; three brothers-in-law, Leroy Kraning, Tom Davies, and Randy Pingel; and one sister-in-law, Maxine Werner.
Visitation will take place at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home on Thursday, September 8, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation continues at the funeral home on Friday, September 9, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating. Burial will take place at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Seymour.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
The family extends a special thanks to the staffs of Bellin Hospital ICU and Bellin Cancer Team. Also, a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Unity Hospice for their compassionate care.
