Darvin Earl Thomas, age 84, of Seymour, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
Darvin was born in Cicero, WI in 1940, spending all of his life in and around the Seymour and Black Creek area. In 1962 he enlisted in the Army National Guard and served in the Army Reserves for 6 years.
On July 11, 1964 he married Dorothy(Banker) Thomas in Black Creek, Wisconsin where they lived for most of their lives, raising two sons.
Darvin worked for a time driving a milk truck and then at Elm Lawn Cheese Factory near Seymour, Wisconsin. Most of his career was spent working at Gustman Motors in Seymour, where he spent 40 years as an auto body technician.
Darvin enjoyed following the Packers and unfortunately missed his most recent goal of making it long enough to see the "craziness" the NFL draft will bring to Green Bay. He has touched many lives and will be missed by everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Darvin is survived by his sons: Bill (Candie) Thomas and Rick (Amy) Thomas; grandchildren: Adeline, Hannah, Tanner(Resa), Amber and Amanda Thomas; and great-grandson, Tate Thomas.
Darvin is preceded in death by his parents, Earl John Thomas and Leona D (Zuleger)Thomas; siblings: Virgilla "Jill" Mae Emma Thomas, Robert Allen "Bobby" Thomas, and Mary Ann Ruth Thomas.
Funeral services for Darvin will be held at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Friday October 25th at 6:00 PM with Deacon Rich Matuszak officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral from 4:00 PM until the time of services. Darvin will be laid to rest privately at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Darvin's name.
