David W. Kling, 63, of Shiocton passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 2, 2022 with his family by his side. He was born January 9, 1959 son of the late Carl and Mary (Therens) Kling.
He graduated from Shiocton High School in 1977. David began his career as a carpenter with Shiocton Lumber, and worked for Great Northern Container for 20 plus years until his retirement.
David was united in marriage to Kim Bessette on November 6, 1982 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Black Creek. She preceded him in death on July 16, 2022.
One of his favorite things to do was to go camping with his wife, with Moody Lake being one of his favorite spots. He loved the annual trips to the Hodag and the family reunions. He really enjoyed doing remodeling and carpentry jobs. Dave was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, but we loved him anyway.
He is survived by his sisters and brothers: Tom (Debbie) Kling, Bonnie (Bill) Cather, Jim Kling, Nancy (Marty) Lambrecht, Kathy Kling, Carla (Robbie) Schneider, and Tim Kling. David is further survived by nieces, nephews, Kim's family, and many friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Bob Kling, Kay (Earl) Williams, Mike Kling, and Rick Kling.
Visitation will take place on Friday, December 9, 2022 at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home from 3:00 pm until the funeral service at 6:00 pm with Pastor Moira Finley officiating. Interment will take place at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Navarino at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in David's memory are appreciated.
