David Arthur Roskom, 74, Seymour, passed away unexpectedly Monday evening, January 28, 2019, with his family at his side. He was born, October 19, 1944, son of the late Arnold and Verona (Abel) Roskom.
Dave was owner and operator of Roskom Meats in Freedom from 1972 until his retirement in 2014. Dave loved his time working in his business. His passion was cutting grass with his brother Denny. After retirement, Dave still looked forward to Tuesdays when he served as Joe's GPS for picking up cattle. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed riding his trike. Dave spent many hours sitting on his veranda, solving the problems of the world with Denny and Donny.
Dave is survived by his soul mate, Noreen Moeller; his daughter, Kim (Paul) Zierler, Manawa; siblings, Roger Roskom, Seymour, Dennis (Rosie) Roskom, Black Creek, Connie (Bob) Banker, Seymour, Allen (Cindy) Roskom, Appleton, Linda Roskom, Green Bay, Bill (Kay) Roskom, Black Creek, Carol (Dennis Reese) Storma, Seymour, Pat (Doug) Houf, Wittenberg, Ginny VanLannen, Green Bay, Brian (Kelly) Diedrick, Seymour; grandchildren, Brandon, Alyssa and Courtney Roskom.
Dave is further survived by Noreen's family, Toni and Mike Diemel, Ryan, Alexis (Nathan Colman), Tommy; Jolene Moeller and Brian Pederson, Kyle Allen, Kristin Allen and Kyle Baranczyk, Ella Rose; Andy and Cori Moeller; Mark Moeller, Gracie and Ashley.
Dave was preceded in death by daughter, Marsha Roskom; son, Mike Roskom; his brothers, Steven and Ronald Roskom; sister, Ione Zahn; brother-in-law, Ron Zahn; sister-in-law, Sandy Roskom.
Visitation for Dave will be from 3-8 at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home on Friday, February 1, 2019, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Cicero, N9580 County Road X, on Saturday, February 2, 2019, from 9:00 am until services at 11:00 am with Pastor Vicki Jens-Page officiating.
