Dean Wendt

August 11, 1951 — January 4, 2025

Dean Gary Wendt, age 73, Appleton, Wisconsin entered in to the more immediate presence of our Lord on January 4, 2025. He was born August 11, 1951 to the late Lenard and Dorothy (Witt) Wendt, Seymour, Wisconsin. Dean was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many. To know Dean was to love him. He graduated from Seymour Community High School, where he excelled in sports and academics. He continued his studies at the University of Wisconsin - Stout.

He enjoyed deer hunting, coin collecting, cars and card playing. He was a lifetime member of Freedom Moravian Church, Freedom, WI. Even though Dean lived with mental illness, he lived graciously. His utmost joy was his family, always curious how everyone was doing. He remembered everyone's birthdays and looked forward to updated pictures. He was a wonderful caregiver for his mother, Dorothy and father, Lenard.

He is survived by his sisters and brother: Charlene (John) Bock, Cecil; Randy (JoAnn) Wendt, Jefferson; and Cheryl (Michael) Weber, Hobart; nieces and nephews: Amy (Aaron) Krahn, Chad (Sharee) Bock, Wendy (Ric) Smith, Jason (Jessica Prisk) Wendt, Riley (Jennifer) Woldt, Jessie Woldt, Brett Weber, Bryan (Gina) Weber, and Berri (Lisa) West; uncles and aunts: Jeanette Wendt, Richard (Janet) Wendt, Evert (Dianne) Wendt, and Mae (Dale) Dalke. Further survived by many loving cousins, great-nephews and great-nieces.
