Deanna Houston, 84, Seymour, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 5, 2022. She was born November 9, 1938, to the late Herman and Beatrice (Gagnon) Debban, and was a 1957 graduate of Oconto High School. After graduating from high school, Deanna and some friends moved to Chicago, where she met and fell in love with Richard Houston. The couple was united in marriage on April 25, 1958, and they have resided in Seymour since 1972. They celebrated 60 years of marriage together; Richard preceded Deanna in death on October 13, 2018.
Deanna worked at Don's Quality Market for over 20 years, where she made many friends in the community. She had a passion for gardening. Deanna found her peace while up north and spending time with her grandchildren. She also liked ice fishing.
She is survived by four children: Pamela (Henry) Biese, Lamont (fiancee, Karen Smith) Houston, Sandra (James) Beyer, and Robert (Marie) Houston; grandchildren: Shawn Beyer, Zach (Heather) Houston, Craig (Emily) Beyer, Amanda Beyer, David Beyer, Allison Nowaczyk, Tayler Houston, Matthew Houston, Nicholas Biese, Hannah (Allison) Johannes, and Elijah Houston; great-grandchildren: Lola Beyer, Layla Beyer, Brodie Houston, Jace Houston, Addilyn Beyer, and Arlo Beyer; four siblings: Dolores Spencer, Richard Debban, Robert (Lee) Debban, and Paul (Linda) Debban; one brother-in-law, Edward Nugent; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters: infant, Barbara Debban, and Mary Nugent; and one sister-in-law, Martha Debban.
Visitation will take place at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon. Burial will take place at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Seymour.
