RUSCH, DELLA ELAINE (Dey nee Moeller)

Della Elaine Rusch entered the Church Triumphant on November 28, 2010 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Della was born on Easter morning April 5, 1931 in the Town of Lessor to Hulda (Schroeder) and Carl Moeller. On December 26, 1951, she married Robert J. Dey and they had six children. They farmed together in the Shiocton/Black Creek area until the time of his death on December 22, 1965. On May 16, 1970, she married Eugene K. Rusch who was an amazing addition to our family until the time of his death on January 13, 2000. She was a wonderful mother who cared for her children and took care of many other children until she went to work at Frank's Kraut factory formerly of Black Creek. After taking her daughter, Julies's, Childcare courses at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College - Shawano, she began teaching young children at Tender Care in Appleton then at Good Shepherd Children's Center, Seymour, until her retirement. Never one to sit down in her retirement, she enjoyed all things nature provided especially mowing her lawn, feeding her birds and up north at the Roost. She loved celebrating holidays and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Over the last eight months, she was able to love her three new great-grandbabies. She will be remembered for her never failing faith, love of her family and friends, love of music (polkas), sewing and cooking with grandchildren especially, her apple pan pie and for always flying the flag. She was a life-long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Cicero, Black Creek. She was active in the ELCA Women's group, a Sunday School teacher, choir member and was one of the first assistant ministers. She served on the Thrivent Board and was an active leader in the Outagamie County 4-H for twenty years.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Julie Dey, Oshkosh; Marlyn (Miranda - Randi) Dey, Clintonville; Jayne (Jerry) Zuleger, Seymour; Richard (Georgia) Dey, New London; Willis (Wendy) Dey, Oshkosh; David (Martha) Dey Swansea, Illinois and her grandchildren: Amy, Bobbi, Michael, Lorri, Tony, Kelly, Erinn, Cameron, Kaitlyn, Annie, Kiersten, Kally, Andy and Elly and her great-grandchildren: Samantha, Grayson, Brynnlee and Ruby. She is further survived by her brothers and twin sister: Alden (Geraldine) Moeller; Dorothy (Norman) Holl and Norbert (Gloria) Moeller and her brothers and sisters-in-law: Elaine Moeller; Irene Huse; Phyllis Beyer; Beverly Kolb; Don and Shiley Dey; Mary Lou Fischer; Olivia Herning; Florence and Art Winkler; aunts, Fern Schroeder and Ruth (Mike) Seefeld; Godchildren: Larry Beyer, Christine Zellmer, Darold Moeller, Byron Holl, Jean Wisniewski; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; parents; sister and brother-in-law, Ardyce (Vilas) Klevesahl and brother, Orlo Moeller.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 30 from 4 - 8pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Cicero, N9580 County Road Hwy. X, Black Creek and on Wednesday, December 1 from 9:30am until 11am when Pastor Ty Stoneburner will officiate at the celebration of Della's life. Burial in the parish cemetery. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour is assisting the family.

The family would like to express our gratitude to the campassionate care for Della to Dr. Avi Bar-Lev; Dr. Honnie Bermis; Jennifer Hart, ANPC; the staff of the Martha Seikman Center and the RNs and CAN of ThedaCare Hospice.

Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed and very dear.
