Dennis E. Mueller, 82, Seymour, passed away at Country Villa in Freedom on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, following a long battle with Alzheimer's. He was born on September 12, 1938, to the late Ervin and Eleanor (Abel) Mueller, and was a graduate of Seymour High School. Dennis enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1956, and he spent eight years in the U.S. Army Reserves. On August 14, 1965, Dennis was united in marriage to Lois Hansen. Lois preceded him in death on March 2, 2006.
He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Dennis began working for his father at Progressive Farmers Co-op in Seymour. He also worked as a machinist for several different companies in Green Bay. Dennis later worked as a custodian at Seymour Middle School until his retirement.
Dennis and Lois loved the tree farm in Isaar which they started in the 1970s. The couple also enjoyed 4-wheeling on dusty trails. After retirement, Dennis enjoyed the annual ice fishing trip with his sons, until he was no longer able due to health concerns.
Survivors include his sons: Steven (Shawn) Mueller, Freedom, Brian Mueller, Seymour, and Darren (Michelle) Mueller, Combined Locks; grandchildren: Landin (special friend, Kelsie Malliet), Kendyl (special friend, Cole Mitchell), Courtney (special friend, Zac Knoeck), Hannah (fiance Kenny Jurgenson), Emma, and Jacob Mueller; one great-grandson, Axeton Mitchell; one sister-in-law, Susan (Steve) Knothe, Roswell, GA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alfred and Cecilia (Diener) Hansen; and one sister, Genevieve (Vernon) Driesow.
A private funeral service will be held. Burial will take place at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Seymour.
